Support Our Fight Against Breast Cancer

The BIGHORN Behind A Miracle Scholarship was designed to ease the financial burden experienced by family member who have either lost a parent/relative to breast cancer, or whose parent/relative has been treated or is currently being treated for breast cancer. Several $1000 scholarships will be awarded to students in the Coachella Valley demonstrating positive growth from a difficult life experience. The number of awards given out will be determined based on the amount of funds raised from the BIGHORN BAM Walk for Life.

The students selected for this scholarship will be chosen based on a personal essay. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and a treating physician’s office must verify the patient’s name. The essay must address the impact that having a family member with breast cancer has had on the applicant’s life, as well as the challenges and opportunities that have been presented to the applicant by this experience.
